Does This Course include Paint Correction?

No it includes paint assessment and recognising what may need correction before PPF installation. Practical machine polishing and paint correction are taught in our seperate Paint Correction Training Courses.

A short demonstration may illustrate corrected and uncorrected paint. It does not replace practical paint correction training.

Identify existing damage, swirl marks, contamination and paint defects. Record areas requiring attention before preparation or PPF installation

Safe Pre-Wash

& Contact Washing

Chemical Decontamination & Clay-Bar Techniques

Learn how to assess tar, iron deposits, adhesive residue and bonded contamination. Understand suitable removal methods, clay-bar lubrication and how to minimise marring.

Clean Panel Gaps, Edges

& Recesses

Remove trapped dirt and residue around badges, trims, panel gaps and edges that need careful cleaning before Paint Protection Film application.

Final Surface Cleaning

& Drying

Practise final cleaning using suitable products and film-supplier guidance. Dry the vehicle thoroughly, paying attention to trapped water around edges and recesses.

Final Inspection Before PPF Installation

Check for remaining contamination, moisture and residue. Recognise when the vehicle is ready for installation or needs further preparation or paint correction.
